Strategy 20.1: Long-term infra investing with inflation hedge and diversification
Strategy Logic
Strategy 20.1: Long-term Infrastructure Investing.
Three sub-strategies combined:
(a) Diversification: include infrastructure assets for better
risk-adjusted returns. Buy infra ETFs when underweight.
(b) Inflation hedging: increase infra allocation when inflation
indicators rise (infra cash flows often inflation-linked).
(c) Stable cash flows: prefer brownfield (established) over
greenfield (new construction) assets - use lower vol as proxy.
Uses:
- Momentum + mean-reversion for timing entry
- Volatility regime for brownfield preference
- Inflation proxy (commodity/price momentum) for allocation sizing
Rebalance signal emitted quarterly (approximately every 63 trading days).
